Jayne Burder
During the early stages of 2014 I started to experience major bloating, constipation, sleepless nights, major aches in my joints, especially my feet and massive weight gain (10st 3lb – 12st 10lb) in 8 months. I have always eaten healthily and train 3-4 times per week.
So as is the norm I approached my Dr and over the next few months saw many “Ologists” to try and get to the route of the problem;
Nephrologist – Was it a kidney problem – No.
Endocrinologist – She told me I was old (48) and my symptoms were to be expected as I am obviously heading for the Menopause!
Gynaecologist – Apparently I have a fibroid but it’s immaterial as I am menopausal!
Gastroenterologist – He put me on anti depressants as it was obvious from a five-minute chat that I had IBS and Fibromyalgia and apparently anti depressants are very good for that!! When they made no affect he called me a liar and stated “nobody eats and trains like you do and gains weight” Eventually he agreed to do a colonoscopy which I am pleased to say was clear.
So convinced I was not mad and was not making my symptoms up, my trainer suggested I go and see Steve…
One stool test later I was diagnosed with Blastocystis Hominis, Candida Overgrowth and digestive tract issues. Steve explained the implications of the infections and what I need to do to resolve the issues.
6 weeks on and after a 30 day modified elimination diet and supplement protocol, I can confirm that I have a flat tummy and no bloating, I am going to the toilet on a regular basis and sleep between 6 and 8 hours a night, my aches and pains have gone and have lost a stone.
I feel amazing and it is all down to Steve’s dedication and commitment to get to the root of my problem.
Thank you so much
Jayne
