Plantain Chips Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 green plantains, skin removed, sliced thinly (The thinner they are the crispier they go)
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Sea salt to taste

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 200’C. Mix the plantain in a bowl with all ingredients. Then place each plantain chip on a baking sheet (which I put on top of an oven shelf). Don’t layer them, make sure they are all evenly spread.
  • Place in the oven and cook for around 15 minutes, turning them all over at 8 minutes. Keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t burn. Store in an air tight container. Nice hot or cold.
