Duck and Plum Salad
Simple duck salad with sweet and savoury flavours.
Ingredients
- Duck breasts: 2 (total around 280g)
- Plums: 3, quartered
- Honey: 1 tsp
- Tamari sauce: 1 tbsp
- Sesame seeds: 2 tsp
- Mixed salad leaves: 80g
Directions
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- In a hot frying pan, cook the duck breasts skin side down for 4 minutes until nice and brown, turn over and cook the bottom for 1 minute.
- Place in a small roasting dish and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
- Leave to rest for 4 minutes before slicing.
- In the same frying pan the duck was in, place in the plums and cook until caramelised.
- Add the honey, tamari, and sesame seeds and mix gently.
- Divide the salad leaves between 2 bowls and add the sliced duck.
- Tip over the plums and juices and enjoy.
